Es hagelt Duftstoffverbote am Arbeitsplatz
Verfasst: Sonntag 28. Dezember 2008, 16:24Einige fangen sofort an zu schreien, wenn sie das Wort "Duftstoffverbot" nur hören.
Sie fühlen sich in ihrer "Freiheit" eingeschränkt. Als MCS Kranker schlucke ich dann erst,
hole tief Luft und erkläre, was für uns Duftstoffe bedeuten und was Duftstoffe
überhaupt sind - fast ausnahmslos Chemikaliencocktails nämlich.
Umso erfreulicher ist es, wenn man sieht es regt sich etwas in Richtung Vernunft für die Gesundheit.
Ein weiteres Duftstoffverbot ist gerade von der Gewerkschaft für Angestellte im Verteidigungsbereich in Kanada in Arbeit.
Das Verbot wird über 17.000 Angestellte betreffen.
Die News wäre doch einen Blog wert, oder?

WHEREAS the Department of National Defence (DND) has a shortage of office/workspace;
WHEREAS many DND occupied buildings require renovation or replacement thus creating further shortages of workspace;
WHEREAS one option to address this shortage is the sharing of workspaces sometimes referred to as “hot bunking”;
WHEREAS this will affect the quality of life and the health and safety of all employees:
BE IT RESOLVED THAT as the health and safety of our members comes first that UNDE demands DND create and implement a scent-free policy;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this scent-free policy comes with mandatory training for all employees both military and civilian;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT UNDE advise DND that the Human Rights Commission cannot force DND to implement a policy but are willing to hear any and all complaints on this matter.
