ENDS Europe DAILY 2622, 25/09/08
EU competitiveness ministers confirmed on Thursday that mercury exports from the bloc will end by March 2011. The ministers rubber-stamped a political deal on the ban reached earlier this year (EED 15/05/08 <

But campaign group Healthcare without harm (HCWH) insisted the EU must also extend an imminent ban on some mercury-containing devices, claiming that its legislation lags behind that of the US (EED 03/10/07)
